Republican Policy Committee Hosts Secretary Linda McMahon for Discussion on Education Reform

December 12, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican Policy Committee (RPC) Chairman Kevin Hern (OK-01) hosted a discussion with U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon and RPC members on education reform. During the meeting, Secretary McMahon highlighted the administration’s work on returning education back to the states, empowering parents, and ensuring schools are fulfilling the needs of students, not Washington bureaucrats.

“It was an honor to have Secretary McMahon join the Republican Policy Committee today to discuss commonsense education reforms that put students first,” said Chairman Hern. “For years, our education system has been politicized and overregulated, but under the leadership of Secretary McMahon and President Trump, we are restoring local control and refocusing schools on academic excellence. These are the steps needed to ensure our children are prepared to succeed.”

“Grateful for the opportunity to meet with the Republican Policy Committee on Capitol Hill today to discuss the Trump Administration’s work to restore state leadership in education,” said Secretary McMahon. “Working with members of Congress to advance this critical mission and deliver real results for students and families remains a top priority. Many thanks to Chairman Kevin Hern for facilitating the conversation and for his unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for America’s students.”
